Which fabric is good to choose for curtains？

Cotton

Most of the plant fibres, the advantages of good breathability, comfortable to wear, but easy to wrinkle, easy to lose colour, poor elasticity, easy to mildew, but resistant to insect infestation.

Hemp

Vegetable fibre, similar to cotton fabric, with a smooth, even surface, good breathability, moisture absorption and heat dissipation.

• thermal conductivity, moisture absorption than cotton fabrics, tough, sweat-absorbing, refreshing.
•  good resistance to mould and mildew, good water resistance, not easy to be eroded by water.
•  low sensitivity to acid and alkali, elasticity is the worst in natural fibres.
• hemp fabric, ironing temperature 170 ~ 195 degrees, spray water can be ironed on the reverse side.

Washing knowledge: similar to the maintenance of cotton, wash and hang directly after drying.

Woolen fabric

• firm and wear-resistant: fibre surface scales to protect, so that the fabric is good wear resistance, hard texture.
• lightweight, good warmth: density than sheep small, poor conductor, good warmth, can resist the external cold, and body heat is not easy to disseminate.
• elasticity, good wrinkle resistance: natural curling, high rebound rate, after ironing and shaping, not easy to wrinkle, can keep the surface flat for a long time, but there will be hairballs.
• strong moisture absorption, comfortable to wear: strong moisture absorption, can absorb body moisture, comfortable to wear.
• not easy to fade: the process of dyeing, so that the dye penetrates into the inner layer of the fibre, long time to maintain the colour.
• alkali resistance is poor, easy to bugs in the wet state, washing is difficult, after washing will be deformed, can only be dry-cleaned.

Washing knowledge: special silk and wool detergent washing, need to pad cloth or steam ironing, first iron the reverse side and then iron the front, otherwise there will be "aurora".

Silk

Good lustre, soft fabric, suitable for summer clothing, good moisture absorption, and wearing health. Disadvantages: shrinkage, easy to wrinkle, clothing storage needs attention, washing with acidic detergent.

Washing knowledge: use silk wool detergent, dry in the shade, ironing temperature at 150 degrees Celsius.

Polyester

• high strength and elasticity. Not only firm and durable, but also wrinkle-resistant and non-iron after washing.
• small moisture absorption, easy to wash and fast drying. Strength after wet without deformation.
• poor permeability, anti-melting, shortcomings: blended with cotton, wool and viscose fibres on the fabric to improve.
• good abrasion resistance and thermoplasticity. Good tucking and shape retention due to garments.

Washing knowledge: suitable for a variety of detergents, ironing temperature in 180 - 220 degrees Celsius bottom.

Nylon

• abrasion resistance of all kinds of fibre fabrics, 20 times higher than pure wool fabrics, about 4 times higher than polyester fabrics. Its high strength, and wet state strength decline is small, good durability.
• good moisture absorption, comfort and dyeing than polyester fabric.
• light texture, clothing to add a sense of light clothing.
• elasticity, good recovery, easy to deform under small external forces.
• heat and light resistance is poor, pay attention to washing, ironing and taking conditions to avoid damage.

Washing knowledge: suitable for a variety of detergents, ironing temperature in 150 - 180 degrees Celsius.
